AIME 2007 awards………………..and the curry is hot!
Reed Travel Exhibitions as part of the just ended AIME 2007 has announced their prestigious 2007 AIME Awards.
Incredible India, the Government of India Tourist Office won the award for the Best Multi Exhibitor Stand with Shanker Dhar, Regional Director in Australasia for India [Pictured at left of right] telling The Mole that he, his team and exhibitors, were all absolutely thrilled at winning.
He added, “This award is highly relevant as recognition of India’s growth in the Business Tourism and MICE sectors, which in 2006 was worth $A2.6b and the same again in ancillary services.”
“India is hot, just like our excellent curry, with increasing interest in all things India and many Australian companies now becoming much more involved and starting India operations, while at the same time generating meeting and conference requirements.”
“Over 22 hotels are being built in Delhi alone and Accor has announced that they are building 7 new hotels around India and in addition fantastic new state of the art convention facilities are also being built, including the new facility in Hyderabad.

** Best Single Exhibitor: Harry the Hirer;
** Most Creative Stand Design: Staging Connections;
** Best New Exhibitor Stand: Decorative Events;
** International Industry Person of the Year: Martin Sirk, CEO of the International Congress and Convention Association;
** Asia Pacific Industry Person of the Year: Anthony Wong, Managing Director of Overland Services.
