Air Canada suspends 800 unvaccinated workers
Air Canada has suspended more than 800 employees from work for not getting fully vaccinated.
The workers have been placed on unpaid leave. The airline says more than 95% of employees have been fully vaccinated. The suspensions are ‘across the company’ and not just in flight operations.
Canada requires all federally regulated air, rail and shipping companies to mandate vaccinations for all workers. The airline has been recalling thousands of laid off workers in recent months as travel rebounds.
