Air China selected as airline partner for 2022 Winter Olympics
Air China Limited has sealed a major sports sponsorship deal
The carrier has been selected by the Beijing Organising Committee as an Official Partner of the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Air China was previously the Official Airline Partner for the Beijing 2008 Summer Games.
"We congratulate Air China in again partnering its services with the Olympics and Paralympics in China for Beijing 2022", said Zhang Jiandong, Beijing 2022 vice president.
A partnership agreement was signed at a ceremony in the presence of Chen Jining, acting mayor of Beijing and executive president of Beijing 2022, and airline executives.
"Air China has the capacity and confidence to promote the Olympic spirit through innovative approaches, fulfil the promise as an Official Partner, and support the Olympic and Paralympics Winter Games Beijing 2022 with high quality services," said Song Zhiyong, Air China president.
"Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games are a major landmark event in China’s history. Air China will bring its own strengths into play and mobilise its resources to spread Olympic values and increase the impact of the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games."
