Air France strike causes widespread delays and cancellations
Air France is warning of last minute delays and cancellations due to a week-long strike by flight crews which started today.
It has already cancelled almost 10% of its long-haul and domestic flights and almost 20% of its medium-haul flights from Charles de Gaulle airport today.
As more than a third of cabin crew are participating in the strike, which will last until August 2, it warned other flights might also be hit.
Difficulties with crew compositions may also limit the number of passengers per flight, it warned.
For the following days, depending on the estimated number of cabin crew taking strike action, the flight schedule will be adapted and published the previous day, it said.
Air France flights operated by aircraft from other airlines, including KLM, Delta and HOP! are not affected.
