Air India, Vistara could merge next year
Air India owner Tata Sons has opened talks with Singapore Airlines to explore a possible merger of Vistara with Air India.
The two parties operate full-service carrier Vistara as a joint venture with Tata holding 51%. According to local media, SIA is waiting until the end of 2023 when they hope economic conditions improve.
It comes as CEO of SIA Group-owned Scoot Air Campbell Wilson was appointed CEO and Managing Director of Air India.
