Air Jamaica slashes winter rates
Air Jamaica has slashed its winter rates by 40% to attract more visitors to the island.
The airline said it was part of a Caribbean-wide effort to increase tourism rather than because of a slump in tourist numbers to Jamaica.
The winter sale applies to the entire Caribbean and includes first class fares. Tickets must be booked by October 28 and are valid for travel December 27 to April 9.
“We’re lowering our prices, but not our standards of service”, claimed senior vice-president Allen Chastenet.
Discounted rates are for round-trip travel, are subject to holiday blackout periods and are not refundable.
