Air Transat announces departure of president
Air Transat president Jean-Francois Lemay is stepping down after five years at the helm.
He will leave the airline in the coming months to ‘take on new challenges’ said Annick Guérard, Transat’s chief operating officer.
"I wish to acknowledge his significant contribution to the development and growth of our air operations in recent years," Guérard said.
Lemay joined Air Transat seven years ago.
He has been instrumental in reducing overall air operating costs, fleet transformation and building a new senior management team.
Parent company Transat A.T. Inc says a successor has not been selected yet.
Montreal based Air Transat serves about 60 destinations in more than two dozen countries.
