Tigerair to fly under Scoot brand next month
The tiger will roar no more from 25 July.
Sister airlines Scoot and Tigerair will complete their integration at the end of next month and will consolidate into a single brand under the Scoot flag.
The airlines will then begin operating under a common Air Operator Certificate with all flights taking the TR code.
Besides this, all flights remain unchanged.
The Scoot website, www.flyscoot.com, will be the single unified booking platform for all flights currently operated by Scoot and Tigerair and Scoot call centre will handle bookings for both airlines.
The Scoot-Tigerair check-in counters will also be refreshed reflecting the Scoot brand.
"The Scoot brand, known for its cheeky and fun vibe as well as innovative products, is well-loved by travellers around the world. We are looking forward to taking the brand further and offering guests a seamless travel experience throughout Scoot’s expanded network, with the completion of our integration into a single airline," said Lee Lik Hsin, CEO of Budget Aviation Holdings, which is the holding company for both airlines.
The Tigerair fleet will be gradually repainted to Scoot colours and is expected to be completed by mid-2018.
Scoot currently operates an all-Dreamliner fleet of aircraft.
Scoot passengers will be contacted with new flight details reflecting the new TR designator codes.
