Airbnb invests in corporate housing provider Zeus Living
Airbnb is once again splashing the cash for a stake in a sharing economy startup.
San Francisco-based company is investing in Zeus Living, which offers long term corporate lodgings.
It leases unfurnished private homes and then converts them into long-stay accommodations for working professionals.
Launched in 2015, it now manages about 2,000 units
Airbnb’s strategic investment will further its goal of adding more options for its growing business travel customer base.
"We have great alignment with the Airbnb team in terms of serving the changing needs of business travelers that want the comforts of home when traveling for extended 30-day stays for work or a project," said Zeus Living’s CEO, Kulveer Taggart.
Airbnb is now worth an estimated $30 billion and says an average two million people stay in an Airbnb every night.
It boasts more than five million listings in 191 countries on its platform.
