Airbnb revamps business travel program
Airbnb has revamped and expanded its business travel program, aiming to make it easier for companies to manage employees’ business trips.
The global launch of the Business Travel program adds more features to enable travel managers to easier access employee travel itineraries booked through Airbnb, improved financial reporting and centralized billing.
The program’s activity tab tool can log trip status displaying trip dates, location, the number of travelers in each group booking alongside an interactive map.
The program can also export financial data and reports.
Companies that sign up for the Business Travel program until September 1, 2015 will receive a $50 credit for each approved traveller to use for their first business travel booking.
Since the program launched last year more than 250 companies have signed up including Salesforce.com and Google.
"Our employees worldwide appreciate the choice and flexibility that Airbnb listings provide them when they’re on the road — whether for conferences, meetings, or team offsites," said Darragh Ormsby, Global Travel Manager, Google.
Airbnb says about 10% of stays are for business.
