Airline bans bulky and expensive sports gear such as surfboards!
British Airways has said surfboards and other sports gear such as hang gliders, javelins and similar are no longer accepted at check-in from November 6, due to their “large size and handling complexities”.
The airline has instructed surfers to transport their boards using freight instead, with new global door-to-door luggage delivery company Personal Porter™ is offering a reliable solution and provides the latest service in transporting sports gear around the world.
Personal Porter™ provides convenience, security and reliability, picking up your sports gear from homes, resorts or offices and delivering them around the world.
“Travelling luggage-free is a trend already established in the USA and UK and is set to become the same in Australia. Travelling with valuable sports gear in particular, can be extremely expensive and recent bans, increases in excess baggage fees, limited allowances and increased security means now is a great time to use the new alternative,” said James Garrod, Co-founder and Group Marketing Director. “Personal Porter™ can transport any luggage; your golf clubs, bikes, diving gear or surfboards. All it takes is 5 easy steps.”
1) Log on to www.personalporter.com.au
2) Enter your travel itinerary to obtain a quote.
3) Complete the quick and simple online booking and payment process.
4) Personal Porter™ will then pick up from and deliver to the address of your choice.
5) You can then sit back and receive real-time SMS updates on your luggage as it’s safely, securely and reliably delivered.
“Our easy online booking system allows you to select the quantity and type of luggage item and provides an instant quote. The service then picks up from the location of your choice and delivers to your final destination. Customs requirements and procedures are handled by Personal Porter™ making it a seamless experience” added James.
