Airline shares do well

There were many positive performances from travel and tourism shares yesterday as London’s main equity indices pushed ahead. The FTSE 100 index added 25.9 points to close at 4846.7, while the FTSE 250 gained 25.5 points to end the day at 7075.3. British Airways and Hilton made gains on the back of broker recommendations: BA jumped 4p to 256.5p and Hilton added 5.25p to end the day at 299p. Ryanair also did well, putting on 12.13p to finish at 413.03p.
