Airlines for Europe signs up another new member
Icelandair has become the latest airline to join campaign group Airlines for Europe.
As a result, A4E now represents 13 airline groups with more than €100 billion in revenues.
"We need to form a strong voice in Europe," said Icelandair CEO Birkir Holm Gudnason.
"A4E was very successful the last weeks in welcoming new members but since most of our key policy issues need more attention in Brussels and the member states, more and more European airline CEOs see the benefits uniting behind one association in Brussels," said A4E MD Thomas Reynaert.
"European airlines are providing unprecedented mobility to citizens and businesses and their economic activity contributes significantly to economic growth and job creation."
