Airport goes to the dogs
Frankfurt Airport has unveiled a hotel with a difference – it is only open to dogs.
Known in German as the Hundepension, the Dog Hotel only accepts canine guests, who can stay the night/day for a fee of €18.
Airport operator Fraport says: “When dog owners go on holidays or business trips, they often have difficulties finding someone to take care of their loyal companion.”
The Dog Hotel has 25 kennels – at least 20 square metres in size and heated in winter – and 3,500 square metres of space where guests can “run, play, and romp” in large open areas.
