Alamo introduces location systems in US
Alamo Rent A Car is now offering portable GPS systems from over 60 locations in the US.
The GPS units cost $9.99 a day. They look like a cell phone and can be fitted in any size or class of vehicle.
Video guidance gives clear instructions with street names and other information. If a driver misses an instruction, they can simply press a repeat command button, Alamo says.
The device can also be used to call 911 directly or the GPS help desk for emergency assistance.
