Alaska Airlines makes largest ever aircraft order
Alaska Airlines has confirmed its biggest ever new aircraft order.
It has taken up options for 105 Boeing 737 Max 10s and ordered five Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
The Max 10 is the largest of the airline model’s variants. The airline says these will eventually replace its older Boeing 737s
They will join Alaska Air’s current fleet of more than 90 Max 8 and 9s.
The five Dreamliners will double its Boeing 787 fleet.
The new planes take its Boeing orderbook to 245 jets.
Alaska hopes to boost its overall fleet to nearly 500 planes by 2030.
