Alleged rape of British worker on Disney Wonder
A British woman claims she was raped by a colleague who she worked with on a Disney cruise ship.
The woman told police the alleged attack happened after a staff party in the Spanish port of Cadiz, where the Disney Wonder was being refurbished.
She says she had recently started dating the man and had agreed to have sex with him, but the next morning he forced himself on her, acccording to a report in the Sun newspaper.
The attack happened onboard a second ship, the Rhapsody, which was being used as a hotel for crew while the Disney Wonder was being refurbished.
The man, a 28-year-old from St Lucia, is now being held in a Spanish jail on suspicion of aggravated sexual assault.
The Disney Wonder is the same ship from where British children’s entertainer Rebecca Coriam disappeared in 2011 while working as a childminder.
