Allegiant Air seals naming rights deal for Raiders stadium
Las Vegas has inked a naming rights deal with locally based Allegiant Air for the new Raiders’ stadium under construction.
The $1.9 billion stadium will be called the Allegiant Stadium and stage Raiders’ NFL games and UNLV football.
The domed stadium also plans to host other major sports and live entertainment events.
The opportunity to have its name on a major league stadium was a ‘global branding opportunity’ it couldn’t afford to pass up, the airline said.
"It will not only amplify our growing brand as the only US airline focused on leisure travel and experiences, but will also provide access to NFL games and special opportunities for fans across the country," said Maury Gallagher, Allegiant chairman and CEO.
Based in Vegas, Allegiant says it generates nearly $3 billion in annual economic impact for the state of Nevada.
"As the hometown airline, Allegiant is the perfect partner to showcase the support we continue to receive from the Southern Nevada community," said Raiders president Marc Badain.
The Raiders and Allegiant will collaborate on in-game and season-long promotions and travel deals for fans.
