Amadeus claims P&O Cruises deal will benefit agents
Amadeus claims that its recent signing of P&O Cruises should save agents from having to make time-consuming calls to the cruise firm’s telephone call centre.
P&O Cruises has become the latest customer for the Amadeus Cruise sales and reservation system which will allow travel agents to check availability and reserve all P&O Cruises services via the web.
Linda Scard, Customer Services Director of P&O Cruises said, “After extensive research amongst travel agents and in the market, we realised the importance of having a real-time online sales and reservation system. Agents are constantly looking for more efficient and cost effective ways of operating, and customers want a fast, comprehensive service.”
The new service becomes available later this month (May 26), with sister brand Princess Cruises, along with Swan Hellenic and Ocean Village also due to be available on the system by the end of the year.
