Madrid, 21 December, 2004: e-Travel, the global leader in online travel solutions and the e-commerce business unit of Amadeus, today announced that it has won the prestigious leading Internet booking engine technology provider prize at the annual World Travel Awards ceremony.

The World Travel Awards was conceived in 1993 to acknowledge and celebrate excellence in the world’s travel and tourism industry.

Eight technology providers had been nominated for the award. Amadeus e-Travel and the other nominees appeared on the 2.5 million ballot forms that were sent to more than 150,000 travel executives and 80,000 travel agencies worldwide.
