Amadeus expands training options for agents
Amadeus has added instructor-led distance learning training for agents using the latest conferencing technology.
The service provides fully interactive sessions for agents who prefer the convenience of distance learning in small virtual groups, led by professional trainers. The training is online but with a human instructor.
This new style of training will run alongside existing training options offered by the distribution company, including scheduled classroom training at its centre in Crawley, personal training at travel agencies, and online training via the Amadeus Learning City.
Stephane Durand, managing director, Amadeus UK & Ireland, said: “As our recent Activity Based Costing studies have shown, staff efficiency is directly linked to travel agencies’ bottom line business results.
“By enlarging the menu and delivery of training programmes on offer, Amadeus aims to equip agents with the all the knowledge and expertise they require to sell more effectively and deliver excellent customer service.”
In addition, Amadeus has bolstered its trade support centre, increasing staff from seven to nine and currently recruiting for more.
