American Airlines using buses for short regional routes
American Airlines will ditch the skies and transport customers on buses on two regional routes out of Philadelphia International Airport. Service to Allentown, PA, and Atlantic City, NJ will run on buses.
The distance to the airports is just 73 miles and 56 miles respectively. Bus operator Landline will operate the services on behalf of American’s regional affiliate, American Eagle.
Landline has similar partnerships carrying customers on short regional routes with United Airlines in Denver and Sun Country Airlines in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
