American tourism way up in Bali
If you wonder where American tourists are going these days, think of Bali. The tourism office reported a more than 21 percent increase in a recent month compared to the same time last year.
Why?
America is now among the top 10 markets for Bali, for the first time in years. AYANA Resort and Spa Bali is showing a similar spike in interest from US visitors, which it attributes to its high-end service and exclusive facilities such as the Cliff Villas, iconic Rock Bar and award-winning Thermes Marins Spa.
“High-profile figures including President Barack Obama; legendary record producer Quincy Jones; and socialite Paris Hilton are among the notable personalities who have visited Bali this year,” says a news release.
Named the top resort in Asia in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards, AYANA has also welcomed US celebrities, from alternative rock band Third Eye Blind to Miss World, Alexandria Mills.
To cater for the increasing number of US travelers visiting Bali, AYANA is introducing an array of special offers that meet their interests and deliver tailor-made experiences. New US-centric packages include daily breakfasts, 45-minute perfume making workshops, yoga, and dinners. A minimum of four nights are required. Rates start at US$337, going up to $679 for a villa.
A “Bali Theater package" includes a world class dance performance that received international acclaim. It includes theatre and other performances. Four nights are required. All-inclusive rates start at $385 to $626 per villa night.
