Andrea Clayton-Norris joins AffordableXtras
Affordable Car Hire has appointed Andrea Clayton-Norris as business development director of its new division, AffordableXtras.
Clayton-Norris worked for rival, Holiday Extras, where she held a number of roles over 21 years, including head of partnerships, looking after key accounts such as Thomas Cook, TUI and the consortia.
She left Holiday Extras a year ago to join an insurance broker outside of travel, but said she missed the travel industry.
Clayton-Norris, who is also vice-chair of the Association of Women Travel Executives (AWTE), starts in her new role on November 1.
"I’m impressed by the simplicity of the AffordableXtras website and look forward to adding more exciting products to our range over the coming months," she said.
"I can’t wait to meet up with travel friends, old and new, over the coming months to discuss what AffordableXtras can do for their customers and their business."
Andrea reports into Affordable CEO Angela Day and chairman James Moore.
Day said she was the ‘perfect person for the job’.
"Not only is she an expert in travel insurance, but she knows everything there is to know about all the other ancillary products as well. And she is already really well-known, very popular and incredibly well respected among the trade," she said.
As a result of the launch of AffordableXtras, Affordable Car Hire is to be headed up sales director Jo Spacey.
