Another tough session for travel shares

Travel and tourism shares experienced yet another negative day as London’s main equity indices turned in very different performances.

The FTSE 100 index hardly moved – gaining 0.8 points to close at 4790.2 – while the FTSE 250 dropped a hefty 89.9 points and came to rest at 6738.8, its lowest closing position for around five months.
