ARC unveils new data analytics platform
Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) has rolled out a new data analytics platform after unveiling the latest version of the Airline BI business intelligence tool.
Airline BI allows airline partners to manage and boost revenues through their travel agency distribution channel.
The latest version is the first built on the company’s cloud-based architecture.
That results in faster access to detailed ticketing data allowing airlines to monitor an agency’s sales performance and market share.
The new version comes partly from airline customer feedback and features a more streamlined user experience.
There is extra flexibility in views across types of airlines which enables better competitive analysis of agencies and markets.
"We’re very excited about this enhanced version, representing the first of many upcoming cloud-based products that ARC will introduce in the near future," said Arun Gupta, ARC’s managing director of product management.
ARC also announced it scored 11 new airline customers during the first half of 2019 reaching a record total of 240.
The new airline partners include Samoa Airways and Scottish carrier Loganair.
During the same period 33 new travel agencies were accredited.
There are now 6,345 ARC-certified agencies with 12,011 retail locations.
"Airlines continue to see value in the services ARC provides by benefitting from the distribution power of thousands of travel sellers within the U.S," said Gena Crowe, ARC’s senior airline participation program manager.
