Arcadia comes down under in 2009…………
The largest P&O Cruise ship and the fourth vessel to be named Arcadia [pictured right] will come down under in 2009 as part of her maiden world voyage.
Carrying 2,000 passengers, this newest Arcadia was launched two years ago and is a stylish, child-free ship aimed at couples, with 14 bars, a three-storey West End-style theatre, panoramic glass-walled lifts facing the sea, and a spa sanctuary, Arcadia is perfect for those days at sea.
Her maiden world voyage includes 101 nights and will see her visit Perth, Albany, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Whitsundays in February 2009.
Other destinations include Egypt, India, Malaysia, Japan, China,Vietnam, Cambodia and the Mediterranean.
Also visiting Australian waters in 2009 will be Arcadia’s sisters, Oriana and Aurora and P&O Cruises has released for sale 41 full world, line or sector voyages across the three ships in 2009, with 20 of the line voyages to sail to or from Australia.
