Sunday, 22 Jun, 2007 0

The skies across Arizona light up with spectacular firework displays to celebrate July 4th. There are many family events, activities and programs commemorating the independence of America.  This makes Arizona a great choice for a family vacation this summer. Arizona is famous for its geographical diversity, picturesque landscapes, and sunny weather.

At the 22nd Annual Fabulous Phoenix Fourth in Phoenix families can see the largest aerial fireworks display in the Southwest, including four stages of entertainment with local and national acts, a Kid’s World with carnival games and rides, hands-on activities and historic military vehicle displays – all free. For more information on this event, visit www.phoenix.gov

Family fun and learning are on in Clarkdale, located in north central Arizona, at an Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration. This free event has been taking place for 35 years and has become a tradition for family fun. After the parade the Cottonwood Community Band will be entertaining the crowd with songs while families enjoy games. The celebration begins with a pancake breakfast. After the celebration families can cool down and relax by the pool or go for a quick dip. For more information on this event visit www.clarkdale.az.us
