Armani takes hotel style to new heights
A hotel designed by Giorgio Armani opens in Dubai in late 2008.
The 160-room hotel will be part of Armani Residences, a luxury collection of homes in Burj Dubai, claimed to be the tallest building in the world, being developed by Dubai-based Emaar Properties.
Armani Hotel Dubai is one of the first to be opened as part of a collaboration between Emaar and Giorgio Armani.
Several Armani Hotels and Armani Residences are being planned in major international cities.
Emaar said international investor response to the Armani Residences was strong following roadshows in several major world cities.
Giorgio Armani said: “Burj Dubai is a remarkable architectural achievement and provides the perfect setting for my first Armani Residences.”
Burj Dubai is a mixed-use tower that also features commercial offices, serviced apartments and leisure amenities.
It will include The Dubai Mall, one of the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destinations.
