Armed robber hails Uber for getaway car

A suspected armed robber ordered an Uber taxi to escape the scene, taking the shop till with him.
After holding up a Baltimore store at gunpoint, a witness told police the 23-year-old suspect had run from the scene and got into a silver Lexus vehicle.
When it was pulled over, police found the suspect along with the unwitting driver – who explained he worked for Uber – and a second passenger, who was described as "confused". Both passenger and driver were released after officers determined they had nothing to do with the robbery..
The suspect was arrested and charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and theft.
