Any agents out there fed up with selling destinations they’ve never been to should have a crack at Cathay Pacific’s new competition to win 80 days of travel around the world.
To get started, go to the airline’s Facebook page and click on “like”. To enter, you need to post a short video or story explaining how you would spend 80 days travelling the globe.
Entries can be submitted until March 6. Entrants must be 18 or over and resident in the UK.
The eight who make it onto the shortlist will be invited to Hong Kong, with fare and accommodation paid, for a panel interview and a one day challenge between April 12 to 14.
The challenge will see the finalists touring Hong Kong for the day and tweeting words and pictures that sum up the city.
The winner will receive an unlimited round-trip economy ticket from Hong Kong to anywhere they wish on the Cathay and sister carrier Dragonair networks for 80 days between June 1 and August 31 2011.
The prize also includes three nights’ accommodation in each destination, a daily allowance of up to £223 per trip and travel insurance. The winner will be asked to submit a daily report with images and videos which will be posted on the Cathay Pacific Facebook fan page.
