Police have arrested two women at JFK Airport after a dispute involving an eyebrow razor and pepper spray.

According to reports on local news networks, the altercation took place as JetBlue Flight 960 from Kingston, Jamaica, was taxiing towards the terminal on Wednesday morning.

The violence reportedly broke out when a 61-year-old female passenger in the window seat, identified as Jean Ballentine from Brooklyn, tried to climb over another passenger, aged 52.

Police say when the seated passenger tried to push her off, Ballentine punched her in the face.

A male passenger saw the incident and tried to intervene, but Ballentine allegedly slashed him in the arm with a small eyebrow razor.

At this stage, the 52-year-old, identified as Linden resident Mary Cannady, took out pepper spray and sprayed it at Ballentine.

Several other passengers had to be treated for breathing difficulties.

Ballantine was arrested on assault and weapons charges while Cannady was arrested for possessing pepper spray.

The man who was slashed on the arm was transported to Jamaica Medical Center and five passengers were treated at the scene.
