Atlanta regains top spot as the world’s busiest airport
Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is once again in top spot as the world’s busiest airport. It had been overtaken during the pandemic by Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China.
In 2021, ATL handled 75.7 million passengers, up a massive 76% from 2020. In the Airports Council International’s busiest airports by passenger volume rankings, eight of the top 10 are in the US.
Dallas/Fort Worth was the second-busiest in 2021, with 62.5 million passengers.
