Atlantis Submarines Barbados wins 3 awards

Ilaro Court June 8, 2009 – In a lavish red carpet affair hosted by the Minister of Tourism at the official residence of the Prime Minister of Barbados, Atlantis Submarines Barbados dominated with wins in three highly contested categories. The Barbados Tourism Awards is a ceremony held to announce the winners of the prestigious “Los Barbados” awards, which are specially handcrafted to be bestowed on individuals and companies that have gone through three months of interviews, surveys and stringent vetting. Atlantis Submarines Barbados won, in the Achievement of Excellence Business category for Attractions and Activities, the Environmental category, and Victor Cooke, a tour guide for the Natural Wonders tour, won in the Achievement of Excellence individual category.

A very proud General Manager Roseanne Myers said, “These awards are the highest accolades bestowed on a tourism business in Barbados and signifies the achievement of excellence. It is a great honor for us to walk away with three awards and to have reached the finals for the second year in a fourth, the prestigious Pillar of Tourism award. This success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Atlantis Submarines Barbados team. “We have been consistent over the years and will add this award to the one won in the inaugural Tourism Awards 2006 for Achievement of Excellence. Having competed for the first time in the Environmental category, as a recently certified Green Globe and Green certifications company, we are pleased that our attempt to continuously improve has been recognized.”
