Attention meeting planners: want to earn money?

Thursday, 20 Mar, 2008 0

The Sonoma County (California) Incentive Program offers meeting and group tour planners a money incentive to book business in Sonoma County.

Meeting planners who set up a meeting in Sonoma County receive a cash payment to the hotel master account of:

·             $1,000 for 50-100 actualized rooms

·             $2,000 for 101-200 actualized rooms

·             $3,000 for 201-300 actualized rooms

·             $4,000 for 301+ actualized rooms

“As a bonus incentive, attendees receive complimentary room amenities, and the meeting planner receives a Gourmet Sonoma County Picnic Backpack at the time of the booking,” says the tourism bureau.

Eligibility is based upon new proposals, originated by the Sonoma County Tourism Bureau (SCTB) for multiple properties booked for one or more nights Sunday through Thursday.

Group tour planners who plan a one-time or series tour receive a cash payment to the hotel master account of $500.

Groups must actualize between November 1, 2007 and April 30, 2009. Tours must be booked for one or multiple nights with a minimum of 20 room nights, along with other stipulations.
