Austin getting new transatlantic flights
German carrier Condor plans to launch transatlantic flights to Austin from Frankfurt International Airport next year.
The seasonal service will take off from June 27, 2016 through September 1, 2016 and operate twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays.
Flights will be served by Condor’s B767-300ER aircraft with 259 seats.
"I am pleased to welcome Condor to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport next summer with a new nonstop to Frankfurt, Germany. New options for air service bring new business, jobs and tourism to Austin," said Austin Mayor Steve Adler.
Austin will be Condor’s 10th US destination and currently serves 75 vacation destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
Austin is the third new US route announced in the last year, following Providence and Portland which commence this summer.
