Australia voted ‘coolest’ country in STA poll
Australia has been voted the ‘coolest’ country in the world by over 2,000 STA Travel customers worldwide, with the survey for CoolBrands putting New Zealand and Thailand in second and third place respectively.
Despite recent image problems over its foreign policy, the US came in fourth place.
When it came to cities, New York confirmed its global position as the world’s coolest city, and was closely followed by London and Sydney.
But the UK as a whole failed to make it into the top 20 of coolest countries, with fellow European countries, Italy, Iceland, Spain, France and Sweden all rated higher.
Instead, the UK came in at a lowly 38th place, alongside Ghana and Croatia.
