Austria to host international ski show
The International Ski Travel market will move to Austria next year, where it will be held in Otztal’s four-star Aqua Dome complex from March 14 to 15.
The Tyrolean resort was chosen from a shortlist of 16, said ISTM exhibition manager Peter Grimster.
Otztal will host the event together with the neighbouring ski resorts Solden, Obergurgl and Hochgurgl.
The second annual ISTM is being held this week at the Intercontinental hotel in Davos, the Swiss resort best known for hosting the World Economic Forum.
This year’s event has attracted 70 exhibitors and buyers from more than 20 countries, including the UK.
Representings from Ski Solutions, Ski Independence, Scott Dunn, Carrier, Powder Byrne, Peak Retreats and Inghams’ parent Hotelplan are among the large UK contingent attending the two-day event, which kicked off with an address by Mathew Prior, managing director of TUI Specialist Holidays Group.
