Austrian Airlines to end commissions
Austrian Airlines is to axe commission for US agents from January 1.
In a statement, Austrian Airlines general manager for the Americas Guenter Hude said the decision had been implemented to remain competitive in the marketplace.
However, Hude said US agents would continue to receive performance-related compensation programmes for US agents.
Austrian Airlines has undergone a restructuring programme since the September 11 attacks and expects to be profitable in 2002.
