AVANI Hotels expands in Malaysia with Kota Kinabalu new build
AVANI Hotels and Resorts is adding a second hotel in Malaysia with a new build property in Kota Kinabalu.
AVANI will introduce the brand in Sabah in the fourth quarter of 2021 as part of a mixed use development with retail, office, and condo units.
AVANI Kota Kinabalu will have 378 rooms along with an all-day dining restaurant,a rooftop pool and bar, and meeting space.
"We are excited to expand our Malaysia portfolio with this second property, and especially to have it in Kota Kinabalu. KK is a well-known business and leisure destination, and AVANI Kota Kinabalu will put guests in the centre of everything," said Alejandro Bernabé, vice president of operations for AVANI.
Kota Kinabalu has transformed itself into a major tourist centre, as a base for trekking the highest peak in Southeast Asia, Mount Kinabalu and a host of offshore islands like Gaya Island just minutes away from the city’s waterfront.
The hotel is situated just 20 minutes from KK’s international airport.
