AVIAREPS expands in Malaysia after merger

Sunday, 01 Jun, 2016 0

Global sales agent firm ASIAREPS has deepened its footprint in Malaysia by merging its local business with general sales agent Global Alliance Travel Services.

The new entity is called AVIAREPS Global Alliance Travel and will focus on the airline general sales agent business.

Globally, ASIAREPS serves as a GSA for more than 100 airlines and 250 travel company clients.

Following the merger, the company becomes Malaysian ticketing agent for several carriers including Air Arabia, Air Astana, Austrian Airlines, Bangkok Airways and Ukraine International Airlines.

"Our decision to invest in GATS and expand our presence and commitment to the Malaysian market was a natural one; made easy by the company’s solid reputation in the market, like-minded acumen, values, and commitment to clients," said Michael Gaebler, chairman and CEO of AVIAREPS.

"Through the creation of AVIAREPS Global Alliance Travel, our global network of clients will now have an expanded specialized aviation team on the ground, in Malaysia, to provide innovative sales and marketing solutions that are both locally effective and supported by international best practice."

ASIAREPS Malaysia also provides marketing representation for destinations like the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Convention and the Hawaii Tourism Authority, and hospitality groups such as Centara Hotels and Resorts and Choice Hotels International.
