Avis UK in senior staff shake-up
Avis UK sales and marketing director Penny Stoolman is to leave at the end of the year as part of a senior-level staff restructuring.
The combined sales and marketing team has been split with business development director Daniel McCarthy becoming commercial director. Managing director Stuart Gent will take responsibility for corporate customers while head of sales Roger Grainger will report directly to Gent.
Former operations director Paul Hainsworth has become fleet and operations director following the retirement of Carolyn Emberton last month. She remains on the UK board as a non-executive advisor.
Gent said that feedback had highlighted the different needs of corporate and leisure customers.
“To ensure we communicate with them and serve their needs better in the futurem we have decided to split our combined sales and marketing team, with each team dedicated to either corporate or retail customers,” he said.
“We are launching a number of new products and services to the corporate sector over the next 18 months – these changes enable me to ensure we manage this launch successfully.”
