Avolon delivers Boeing 737 Max aircraft to India’s Akasa Air
Aircraft leasing company Avolon has delivered five new Boeing 737 Max aircraft to India’s newest airline Akasa Air.
The sale and leaseback transaction is Avolon’s first deal with Akasa.
Paul Geaney, Avolon CCO said: “We are excited to support new entrants to the market.”
“We congratulate Akasa on their successful launch and look forward to building on our strong relationship.”
Akasa said it hopes to boost its schedules to about 1,000 flights a week by the summer.
“We are delighted to join hands with Avolon and will continue to invest in new technology aircraft,” said Bhavin Joshi, Akasa Air co-founder.
