AWTE practises what it preaches with board job share

The Association of Women Travel Executives has announced a new board line up which includes two new roles and a job share.
The AWTE has appointed chief executive of the British Travel Awards Lorraine Barnes Burton and Teletext Holidays managing director Victoria Sanders as board members without portfolio.
An events role will be job shared between Karen Sequeira and Jane Stuart-Palikira.
Said AWTE chair Karen Ramirez: “I believe this is the first time a board job-share has happened, and is a demonstration of really practising what we preach.”
The full line up is now chair Karen Ramirez, vice-chair Amanda Taylor, secretary Linda Paterson, finance Barbro McAusland, membership Debee Dale, events Karen Sequeira and Jane Stuart-Palikira, PR Karen Dempsey and website and communications Monika Warburton.
