BA adds new Eastern European routes

British Airways is launching four new short-haul summer routes to Eastern Europe.

It will fly to Wroclaw and Gdansk in Poland, Riga, Latvia and Cluj-Napoca in Romania.

The routes will operate from the beginning of July, running throughout summer.

All flights will depart from London Heathrow, with Wroclaw operating twice a week, and Gdansk, Riga and Cluj-Napoca operating three times a week.

Flights operate on days to fit in with visiting friends and relatives or for a long city break weekend.

Return fares range from £83 to £95 and reservations are live on ba.com.

Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Director of Network and Alliances, said: "It’s great to be launching new routes as we listen to our customers and assess where they want to travel. We know these four new destinations will be popular with people visiting friends and relatives, but they also offer great city breaks."

All flights will be operated by British Airways’ short-haul Airbus fleet.

British Airways’ flexible booking policy offers customers no change fees or a voucher exchange for bookings made for travel before the end of April 2022 should their plans change.

The flights complement British Airways network to most of these countries with regular flights to Krakow and Warsaw in Poland, and Bucharest in Romania.

BA will also launch a new summer service to Perugia on 28 June. This was due to start in 2020 but was delayed due to the impact of the pandemic.
