BA and Easyjet shares fall ahead of announcements
There were few dramatic moves for travel and tourism shares yesterday as London’s equity markets registered small gains.
The FTSE 100 index added 25.3 points to end the day at 4718.5, while the FTSE 250 gained 44.9 points to close at 6447.8.
Probably the most significant moves came at two carriers that are due to make imminent business announcements.
British Airways, which will release half-year figures on Monday, dropped 1.5p to close at 217.25p, while EasyJet, which will report its traffic figures tomorrow, dropped 2.5p to end the day at 168p.
