BA flight from Ibiza evacuated
A BA flight to London from Ibiza was evacuated after a passenger was found to be travelling on fake passport.
Police boarded the aircraft and removed the woman then dismantled her seat.
All passengers were then evacuated and their bags rescreened.
According to a report in the local newspaper, the aircraft was then searched three times by an explosives team on the tarmac at Eivissa airport.
The incident delayed the flight by more than three hours.
BA confirmed in a statement that the aircraft had returned to the stand after authorities realised that a passengers was travelling with ‘incorrect documents’.
