BA increases fuel surcharges
British Airways has announced increases in the fuel surcharges on Joint Services (JS) flights sold in Australia and New Zealand to the UK. Increases are in line with Qantas surcharges on these routes and are a result of further rises in the price of fuel.
For British Airways JS flights between Australia and Singapore, Bangkok and London, and between Bangkok, Singapore and London sold in Australia and New Zealand, the surcharges will increase to USD77.00 per sector including the USD4.00 insurance and security levy.
For UK Domestic, European flights, surcharges remain unchanged at USD19.00 per flight sector, including the USD4.00 insurance and security levy. For all other British Airways worldwide flights, the fuel surcharges remain at USD65.00 per flight sector, including the insurance and security levy.
The additional fuel surcharge only applies to tickets issued from Friday 05 May 2006. It does not apply to tickets already paid for and issued.
