BA, IndiGo to codeshare on India flights
India’s largest carrier IndiGo has inked an airline codeshare pact with British Airways for UK-India flights.
It adds more routes to BA’s subcontinent route network, including Thiruvananthapuram and Kolkata via Mumbai.
BA customers travelling enjoy a complimentary meal and full baggage allowance in economy on IndiGo’s connecting services in India on a single ticket.
Overall, it expands options to eight new destinations in India via New Delhi or Mumbai.
It includes Amritsar, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Goa
“This provides seamless connectivity and supports trade and commerce between the two countries,” said Abhijit Dasgupta, IndiGo’s SVP of Network Planning.
British Airways currently offer 56 India flights a week to five gateways: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.
