BA launches new no-frills offensive
BA has launched a new offensive against its no-frills competition by trying to attract early bookings.
The carrier is offering fares from £49 domestic and from £59 to Europe when tickets are purchased 30 days before travel, with the best offers on the internet. The fares do not include a Saturday night stay restriction.
BA says passengers can save £10 by booking early on flights to Paris and Brussels, and save £50 on a return ticket from London to Athens, which will cost £99 when booked 30 days in advance.
Return flights from London Gatwick to Nice, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Marseille will start at £69, and flights to Venice, Verona, and Pisa will start at £119, all down £30 if booked early.
The tickets are available from tommorrow via the BA website. Anyone booking over the telephone or via a BA Travel Shop will not enjoy the full discount, as their bookings will be subject to a £10
charge.
